The beginning of my journey

Sometimes buying new music equipment can turn into an amazing journey, and I recently experienced just such a journey. About a week ago I bought a music sampler and a matching controller keyboard, both from the same manufacturer. You would think that the two devices (from the same manufacturer) would harmonize with each other without any problems. But far from it - the connection did not work at the front and back.

The intensive research trip

What followed was an intensive research trip that pushed me to my limits. The first thing I did was seek help on the internet. I sat there for hours in the evening, watched countless YouTube videos and scoured various forums. I asked questions on the forums, commented on YouTube videos, and searched Google for possible solutions. However, I couldn't find an answer that explained my problems clearly and unambiguously.

The role of ChatGPT

At the beginning of my search, I also asked ChatGPT. The answer I received from ChatGPT was rather frustrating: The manufacturer's new hardware components were no longer fully compatible, despite the complaints of many customers. Initially, I dismissed this answer as unhelpful and continued my extensive research. Despite intensive efforts, success failed to materialize.

The turning point

Finally, I remembered ChatGPT's answer and began to formulate my questions even more specifically and precisely. In a long dialogue with ChatGPT, I finally received a clear answer: The compatibility between my Music Sampler and the Controller Keyboard is actually not given at the moment. To my great amazement, ChatGPT was the only source that gave me the correct and accurate answer.

Result

I had scoured the whole internet in search of a hint on how I could get the two devices to work. And yet it was ChatGPT that brought me the final clarity. It's fascinating to see that ChatGPT apparently has access to sources or understands connections that are hard to find even in the vastness of the internet. Looking back, I could have saved myself many hours of intensive research by simply relying on ChatGPT's detailed answer.
